Creatore e frese per rotori- Hob and mill cutter for rotors

La fotografia mostra un creatore per dentare i rotori dei compressori d'aria, una coppia di frese (maschio e femmina) e una coppia di rotori.
Si nota che il creatore, non ricoperto, ha una serie di rompitrucioli sul profilo. Ciò consente una maggiore velocità di avanzamento e quindi tempi di taglio minori.
Per piccole produzioni è più conveniente usare le frese a profilo costante, come quello illustrate nella fotografia.

The picture shows a hob working the air compressor rotors, a couple of milling cutters (male and female) and a couple of air compressor rotors.
We can observe that the hob, not coated, has the chip breakers on the profile.
The chip breakers allows to increase the cutting speed and the feed rate, and therefore to reduce the cutting time.
For small production is more conveniente to use the constant profile milling cutters.
